A 15-year-old girl attempts to ban circus elephants in Denver. A rash of adolescent-driven, animal-rights-related vandalism hits California. A twelve-year-old boy passes the hat for animal rights. A popular software company promotes a video game about "animal liberation" activists who destroy medical research labs. Ten-year-olds in Ontario are shown "don't kill the animals" videos in public schools. North America's largest animal rights convention features two separate panels titled "Engaging Children." Is there any doubt that the animal rights movement is targeting your kids? In a new report, "Your Kids, PETA's Pawns," the Center for Consumer Freedom explores how one group, the $24 million People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), devotes substantial resources toward capturing children -- the next generation of potential meat eaters, milk drinkers, circus-goers, and fishermen -- in its cult-like web. In its 2003 annual report, PETA boasts of reaching more than 2.3 million children and teachers with its destructive messages.
Despite denunciations from psychologists and school officials, PETA continues to target children as young as six years old with violent and graphic propaganda. Sidestepping parents and school authorities, PETA lures young and impressionable children into radical activism with a coordinated effort including the use of graphic comic books, grotesque toys, schoolyard demonstrations, e-mail alerts sent directly to 65,000 children, and even a classroom lecturer with a felony rap sheet.
WHY IS OUR WORLD COMING TO THIS?

| PETA DOES KILL ANIMALS!
It’s rather hard to believe that the animals entrusted to PETA are any more likely to be “broken beings.” Dana Cheek, the former (and most recent) director of the Norfolk SPCA, wrote this:
I often receive phone calls from frantic people who have surrendered their pets to PETA with the understanding that PETA will "find them a good home." Many of them are led to believe that the animals will be taken to a nearby shelter. Little do they know that the pets are killed in the PETA van before they even pull away from the pet owner's home … PETA refuses to surrender animals they obtain to area shelters for rehoming. If only the celebrity "deep-pocket" donors on the west coast knew that their donations were going to kill adoptable cats and dogs here in Norfolk.
PETA talks a good game about caring for animals, but seems uninterested in saving the only creatures it actually has contact with. If PETA were sincere, it could use its incredible wealth to buy a huge plot of land where its thousands of victims could live out their natural lives. Instead, these animals meet PETA's hypocrisy head-on, in the form of "tough love."

| Okay, I don't agree with a damn thing that the animal rights people do! I have lost all understanding of what in the hell they are doing! I mean why would you want to support a group of people who are killing more animals than any farmer? I just don't understand what kind of point you are trying to make. And do you know what kind of problems we would run into if we stop feeding domestic animals grain and just let them roam around eating whatever they want? ALOT of shit would go wrong! People get upset when a racoon or possum gets in there trash! What the hell would you do if you had a whole herd of hogs or cows get in you yard and tare the shit out of things? You wouldn't be very happy would you? And all that land you are going to have to fence in. Which costs alot of money! And if I remember right, money doesn't grow on trees! But ya know, thats up to. I just don't see any of that happening. | | |

THE REAL MEANING OF P.E.T.A!!!!!!

There have been many studies and researches on Factory Farms. There have also been a lot of accusations made on them and how badly they treat animals. Well you know what? I don't agree with a damn thing that any of them have to say!!! They are all incorrect. If it wasn't for Factory Farms, we wouldn't have half of the food in the world that we have today. These agricultural benefits that the owners of these farms have brought to us is unremarkable. Hardly anyone will look at the good facts that they have brought us. Instead everyone wants to stereotype these so called facts that they have to show for these farms. The cruel and unusual treatment that these animals are given and the conditions they live are not all the facts for all factory farmers. These are just the only things that people are finding. Mainly because that is what they are looking for. They are trying to find reasons to put agriculture out of the picture. Sorry to tell you, but, "THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!" There are many statistics on Factory Farming that no one has looked in to. They help in making the U.S. the largest exporter and one of the largest agriculturally diverse country in the world. Thanks for your judgemental and unreliable minds for us to be able to keep this website up!!!

| 7 Things You Didn't Know About PETA
1) PETA president and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk has described her group’s overall goal as “total animal liberation.” This means no meat, no milk, no zoos, no circuses, no wool, no leather, no hunting, no fishing, and no pets (not even seeing-eye dogs). PETA is also against all medical research that requires the use of animals.
2) Despite its constant moralizing about the “unethical” treatment of animals by restaurant owners, grocers, farmers, scientists, anglers, and countless other Americans, PETA has killed over 10,000 dogs and cats at its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters. During 2003, PETA put to death over 85 percent of the animals it collected from members of the public.
3) PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. This includes a 2001 donation of $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for dozens of firebombs and death threats. During the 1990s, PETA paid $70,200 to an Animal Liberation Front (ALF) activist convicted of burning down a Michigan State University research laboratory. In his sentencing recommendation, a federal prosecutor implicated PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in that crime. And PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator Bruce Friedrich told an animal rights convention in 2001 that “blowing stuff up and smashing windows” is “a great way to bring about animal liberation.”
4) PETA activists regularly target children as young as six years old with anti-meat and anti-milk propaganda, often waiting outside their schools to intercept them as they walk to and from class-without notifying parents. One piece of kid-targeted PETA literature tells small children: “Your Mommy Kills Animals!” PETA brags that its messages reach over 2 million children every year, including thousands reached by e-mail without the permission of their parents. One PETA vice president told the Fox News Channel’s audience: “Our campaigns are always geared towards children, and they always will be.”
5) PETA has used a related organization, the PETA Foundation, to fund the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), a deceptive animal rights group that promotes itself as an unbiased source of medical and nutritional information. PCRM's president also serves as president of the PETA Foundation.
6) PETA runs campaigns seemingly calculated to offend religious believers. One entire PETA website is devoted to the claim-despite ample evidence to the contrary-that Jesus Christ was a vegetarian. PETA holds protests at houses of worship, even suing one church that tried to protect its members from Sunday-morning harassment. Its billboards taunt Christians with the message that hogs “died for their sins.” PETA insists, contrary to centuries of rabbinical teaching, that the Jewish ritual of kosher slaughter shouldn't be allowed. And its infamous “Holocaust on Your Plate” campaign crassly compares the Jewish victims of Nazi genocide with farm animals.
7) PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, because they support animal-based research that might uncover cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has said that “even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it.”
